Ubuntu 12.04 - A sneak peek into its new features

Just within a span of three months of the release of the alpha version of Ubuntu, Linux 12.04, the developers of this project brought about its beta version operating system. "So I driving along today with my Galaxy S3 in my car mount when suddenly a white flame, sparks and a bang came out of the phone. I pulled in to look at my phone, the phone burned from the inside out. Burned through the plastic and melted my case to my phone. The phone kept working but without any signal,"

The burn picture clearly shows the Right part of USB charging have been damaged from the image any user can say that Samsung have some issue with charging but official review and analyses still to come.

In the meantime Samsung have posted on their official blog that they have been aware of the current situation and the investigation will be carried on soon.

"There have been recent online posts displaying pictures of a Samsung GALAXY SIII that appears to have heat-related damage at the bottom of the device. Samsung is aware of this issue and will begin investigating as soon as we receive the specific product in question. Once the investigation is complete, we will be able to provide further details on the situation. Google honors British computer scientist Alan Turing with brain-teasing doodle

Today Google honored Alan Turing for his 100th Birthday with doodle. Alan tang was born in 23 June 1912. He was mathmatician, computer scientist , logician and Cryptanalyst. Tuning is highly consider as Father of Artificial Intilligence.

During the World war II He mapped out techniques to break German codes, including the bombe, an electromechanical machine that could find settings for the Enigma machine.

Turing was among the very first people who accepted their homosexuality and avowed publicly about it. His homosexuality also resulted in his criminal prosecution in 1952. He died weeks before his 42nd birthday from cyanide poisoning. Further inquiry into his death revealed that it was a suicide. However, his mother believed his death was accidental.

On September 10, 2009 British Prime Minister Gordon Brown made an official public apology on behalf of the British government for the way in which Turing was treated after the war.

As for his math achievements, he devised a conceptual computing machine called the Turing Machine that would use an infinitely long piece of tape containing a series of symbols. A machine head could read the symbols and add its own, as well as move to different parts of the tape, one symbol at a time.

No one knows what up with Microsoft. Last week they surprise the world with  “Surface”. This week Microsoft announced the Mobile Based Operating system; code name “Apollo” which will be available this Fall with Windows 8.

Hoever this re-coded Windows Phone have Rendering effect ,no current Windows smartphone, including the newly released Lumia 900, will be eligible to upgrade to the latest operating system. Current Windows Phone owners will not be able to experience the new customization options, integrated Voice over IP, Nokia Maps or Microsoft’s Wallet hub, without purchasing a new handset this fall. The current Owner will be Upgarded to Windows Phone 7.8.

The Windows Phone 8 supports dual- and quad-core support, SD card expansion, a redesigned home screen and near field communications (NFC) technology support, so manufacturers can turn handsets into virtual wallets.

Microsoft also has much more to offer IT departments with Windows Phone 8. The new OS supports encryption, secure boot and device management, and it includes mobile versions of Microsoft’s popular Office apps.

After a long term of rumors, Facebook finally have acquire Face.com, a Israel based technology company for undisclosed agreement. The terms and condition of agreement have not been disclosure.

Apples WWDC 2012 : No sign for iPhone 5

Addressing to company’s annual Worldwide Developer’s Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco, Apple introduce number of Update and improvement in their Mobile, Desktop as well as Macbook Pro.

Most Highlight of the show was the introduction of iOS 6, which will available by this fall, as a free Update to iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices. The new iOS includes support for FaceTime video calls over cellular networks (not just Wi-Fi) as well as the ability to post to Facebook directly from Notification Center, Siri and Facebook-enabled apps like Photos, Safari and Maps. 

Apple also noted that Siri - voice activated Personal Assistant is available to iPad. The Language support for the Siri has been broadening to other language, including Spanish, Italian, Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese. Siri users can also ask the software to update their status on Facebook, post to Twitter or launch apps.

Originally available to Latest iPad , Apple’s high-resolution Retina display, will be available soon to new 38 centimeter MacBook Pro .The new MacBook Pro, weighing in at about two kilograms, is currently available starting at $2,200.

Company also updated the MacBook Air with processors, graphics and flash storage twice as fast as the previous version of the laptop. The entry-level 28-centimeter MacBook Air starts at $1,000.

Apple also shared that Apple will finally have a new maps app to take on Google Maps. (More than 90% of iPhone owners use Google’s service.) It will include a “flyover” 3-D feature, turn-by-turn navigation service employing Siri, and a traffic service with incident reports.

Faster and Easily Upload Suspicious Files for Analyzing

I download a lot files from various Location , but i should i only relay on my antivirus. I have been AVG antivirus fan from last 3 years. I know that Avg Antivirus have good rate of detecting know and unknown antivirus,but there are good coders who can by pass any Antivirus  and that makes me think twice should I run the Program.



Its is sad to say most of the newbie users only depend on one antivirus. Most of the newbie think that installing the antivirus only can make them safe on the computing environment. Today i am talking about How to determine the File is suspicious or not. I generally go with two scanning service Virus total and ThreatExpert Submission  even I have installed Antivirus on my PC. If Virus total and ThreatExpert Submission says clean to any file , i can be 95% sure that its is clean even other says it is Malicious .

Both the Services have online and Offline service for Looking at the suspicious files.

VirusTotal

If u want to check the services via Virus total then u should have VirusTotal Uploader which is 32MB . After installing the file , Right click on any file and the VirusTotal Uploader will Upload and check the file for suspicious  to more than 40 antivirus.

If u are FireFox fan then there is VTzilla which  process of scanning Internet resources with VirusTotal. VTzilla  will not only scan files, but also URLs.

Microsoft joins Mobile Market with Surface

The News have been Confirmed that Microsoft will join the Tablet wars along with other Companies like Apple , Samsung. The Great software Vendor have announced that they will enter the mobile market segment with "Surface". The CEO of Microsoft company Ballmer gave Presentation of the Tablet with Running Windows 8 at LosAngeles  .

One version will have Intel chips which which will come with WIN 8 Pro Operating system  Other version would contains the chips of ARM, which is very handy for Mobile devices as they consume less power comes with Windows RT operating System.

Microsoft said the smallest Surface tablet is 9.3 millimeters thick and weighs 1.5 pounds, which is similar to Apple's iPad, at 9.4 millimeters thick and 1.44 pounds. The Surface has a 10.6-inch screen compared with the iPad's 9.7-inch screen.

The company said that ARM based  RT version of the Tablet will be available with in Commercial release of Window 8 and Intel based will be due after three Months.

Disable folder option is to restrict the user from viewing "Hidden and System files", so the user doesn't remove Virus Manually.

1.Task manager [taskmgr.exe]Replacement 

Taskmanger is Important part of Windows Operating system. With the Help of Taskmanger the user can able to know what is cpu usages, various service that is running , Various application is running. If user find any suspicious he can terminate the service .

If we cannot access to Taskmanager then the Best alternative would be Process Explorer which can be downloaded from Microsoft Website here. . Best thing of Process Explorer is Portable and can be carried in USB drive.

2.Registry editor [regedit.exe] Replacement

Note: Please make Backup before playing with Registry.

Registry is very usefull to make changes or to make some Creativity on Any Windows Operating system. It like playing with Kernal of Linux. When ever you get message that u have been Disable to access Registry, best alternative is Regalyzer,developed by Spybot team. Regalyzer requires installation but you can copy the whole RegAlyzer folder to your Usb drive and Run it as Portable Application can be Download from Here.

3.Command Prompt [cmd.exe] Replacement

Command prompt is very powerful command line tool which support a lot of command when you find it impossible to do it in any windows OS. IF u get the message " Disable via Admin", then best alternative is "GS". GS is small free and protable tools created way back in 2005. GS is available here

4.Run dialog Box Replacement

SOme virus remove the Run command from Startup menu. How ever it does not effect. Run dialog Replacement is just a 47kb file. However if u have Process Explorer u can use CTRL + L to get Run Dialog.

5.System Configuration Utility [msconfig.exe] Replacement

The first virus attack the location is System Configuration . Virus Maker Knows that Msconfig contains what are Default, what Application Runs at start up is Located in Msconfig. The Computer affected By virus usually get Message "Msconfig Missing".

On the best alternative for msconfig is from the maker of "Process Explorer" ie Autoruns. Autoruns has the most comprehensive knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor, shows you what programs are configured to run during system bootup or login. 6. Enable Folder Hidden Option

If the virus is active , it change the setting every time , how much u try to change, it goes back to Virus's Default. Then i found the Free tool called Freecommander. APABAD Turns out to APABAD

Rajbalav Koirala stars in this ambitious story about an independent-minded young man named Suyog from Nepal who keeps getting frustrated in pursuit of his dreams and attempts to fulfill his objectives in life. "Apabad" literally means exception, and true to form following content, the film is not the usual "idealist confronts reality" coming-of-age drama with a hero necessarily coming out on top after getting hit by life's slings and arrows, but a resting story about dealing with continual disappointment and defeat in reaching one's goals.

This is not to suggest there is no sunshine in the movie (in fact, lots of moments of levity and beauty abound in it, such as a campfire scene where the hero plays a song with guitar that seems to symbolize his sense of hope), but to say that the film is primarily about facing the darkness. This causes Suyog, over the course of many disappointments, to be left in somewhat lost state of mind, and gets almost to the point of realizing that old expression, "when there's nothing left to burn you burn yourself." Despite being very focused on characterization instead of allegory, the leader character's flight might go be said to represent the current Nepali middle class, or the lost generation of Nepali youth.

Over the course of Apabad, Suyog seems to evolve away from trying to focus on accomplishing goals in life, to one of five and figure out what his purpose or place in it is, and fit in somehow. Just what is it that one does, when they realize they have become "the exception," an exception they didn't want to be? What happens when you don't belong because you have become something that is not normal, but you still have a sense of belonging? Suyog goes on a long journey and to great lengths to make these adjustments in order to come to make peace with himself.

Koirala gives a great performance to make this kind of unique story work, and be bearable for the course of an entire film. Rabi Giri is also notable in playing the father, trying to tolerate his son's failures even though it is wearing him out to do so. Somewhat lost in the shuffle is Nisha Adhikari, who plays the love interest of Suyog, which is odd because much of the movie devotes itself to their would-be romance. Once again the movie shows how exceptional it is - in a typical coming-of-age or "against the odds" story the love angle would be front and center, to take the edge off of the struggles of the main characters to fulfill themselves.

a xenophobia. How will you eat yours?

The thread came on to my mind as i Google it if there was any Phobia day. To be surprised there was day June 15 - International Phobia day. i tried to search the Phobia inside me, what i am afraid of , then i Google for person afraid of strangers. First Google search result was " a xenophobia".

According to Wiki definition a xenophobia is "an unreasonable Fear or hatred of foreigners or strangers or of that which is foreign or strange". Then i started to think myself am i so afraid, Friends called me Extrovert how come i have the word xenophobia.

Even though i hate to talk to strangers i have to admit that i have a small part of xenophobia.
