Guest Post:BBM Spy is reporting Major Carriers' Support for BlackBerry
It seems that BlackBerry has been struggling for some time now. Tough competition from other platforms has left the device limited to the subscribed users who have been dragging it out over the past few years for a number of reasons. These include large companies who use the devices for employees and those who trust the platform for its safety (BBM spy software is hardly a problem). But despite that it seems that the time has arrived for action on the part of RIM, the only alternative being watching their sales decline and dedicated users throw in their white flags.
The action that they have decided on is the release of the BlackBerry 10 OS range of handsets and devices all set to be hailed within 2013. The exact time of release or how much they will cost the consumer is not known at the moment but all of this info is set to be public knowledge by the end of January, which RIM has already announced at the CES conference, will be when the devices are debuted.
In the current modern day scenario, a good platform means a lot of consumers and a lot of mobile manufacturer support. This is obviously why all manufacturers are usually willing to run Android OS and nowadays we even see manufacturers going for Windows 8. However Apple and BlackBerry have been fruitful in running their own patented devices only. So asides from having manufacturer support, carrier support is also a must. And so on the carrier front, we see RIM bridling with confidence and claiming that they already have 15o carriers testing out the new OS worldwide. It doesn't hurt that BBM spy software fail virtually everytime because of the top notch security that Blackberry provides.
Amongst these, the most attention grabbing is definitely the US carriers; Verizon, AT&T and T- Mobile. The obvious conclusion to be drawn from this is that there is real confidence in the new BlackBerry platforms capabilities. Each of the three carriers have released statements making it clear that they are excited about the device. What it truly points to is that no carrier wants to risk losing potential customers because they don’t support the RIM devices. And the bulk of customers looking towards the devices are businesses and enterprises, assuring the carriers of a large number of subscribers to come. Other than that UK carriers have also extended support for Blackberry. EE is amongst these carriers which is UK’s first 4G LTE network. So BlackBerry is definitely maneuvering out its devices into mainstream carriers, hoping this will bring the has- been back into the glory days.
This is good news for RIM because other than just maintaining their own existing customers (numbering at around 79 million), they will stand a chance at getting the customers they lost to iOS. So the main aim seems to be to somehow project the BlackBerry devices as ultimate business phones which all enterprises should embrace. Here the significant factors have been the back-end management systems provided by the iOS devices which caused them to be preferred over BlackBerry. However, carriers supporting the sets definitely highlights chances of a comeback.
