With the revolutionary name change from RIM to Blackberry, there came the announcement of new smartphones boasting unique operating systems- Blackberry10 OS. The new entrants were of course BlackberryZ10 and BlackberryQ10. It definitely would be amazing to see how they would square off with two smartphones that took the market by storm in the year, The Samsung GalaxyS3 and the iPhone5.
While it would be a little far-fetched to say that Blackberry can outshine the achievements of Apple and Samsung in the new future, the Z10 definitely tailored with the end user in mind and Q10 as well. Thus, the Canadian company has produced devices that would nudge any customer to try them out. We go right ahead to compare the technical aspects of the four smartphones all striving to get a share of the market.

As we are not basing this analysis solely on component hardware parts, but also on design of the OS, available applications and user-friendliness, we go ahead to predict the fate of Blackberry in the wake of this competition.
Blackberry lauds its business customers and it is my prediction that they will no doubt try to appeal to that market segment to grab a fast against their competitors. The BlackberryQ10 will definitely help them achieve this to some level but it will not offer a massive tilt of the scales they are after. As a matter of fact, three features will be important in establishing Q10’s success; the cost and its ready availability, the functionality of the operating system and the applications it boasts as well as strength of the battery.
Many consumers hope to get a high performance smartphone spotting QWERTY keyboard, definitely here has been a shortage of this in the market. Motorola’s Milestone only went as far as the third generation. In Europe, people got a hold of the first and second generations only. HTC announced that it would move away from the manufacture of physical keyboarded smartphones and thus there will be no other invention after the HTC DesireZ.
Blackberry’s Q1O brings an AMOLED display plus a unique 720 by 720 pixel resolution and a hardware QWERTY keyboard . It still manages to weigh below 140 grams and is 11mm thick. TI OMAP processor is a new release and so is its GPU and a 2GB RAM fitted Blackberry. In my analysis, the Q10’s success in the market will depend upon the three influential factors aforementioned.
However, as regards its component parts, the BlackberryZ10 qualifies to be mid-level smartphone. With the choice of one of Qualcomm’s top performing processors and an Adreno225 unit GPU, we are looking at sufficient processor capacity yet what is of value is how the operating system was tailored for the CPU’s dual core functionality.
The Blackberry Z10 sure looks appealing in its white color and this definitely is not about my beliefs but rather about the wishes of potential customers. Like any other person, I cannot wait to get myself this smartphone and make more informed conclusions. In any case, many aspects of the gadget will come to be known once people lay their hands on the smartphone.
