Apple iPhone 5 – Is this really the next generation cellular technology

The screen size of Apple though has been slightly bigger size than its previous models but the question remains would Apple bring in a iPhone with a bigger screen or would it keep to its age old tradition of the 3.5” display or not. With tough competitors in the market introducing smart phones with better resolution and screen size, we all doubt whether Apple would be able to match up with them with its paltry 3.5” or the rumored 4” with 4.8” easily available before its launch. In addition when we see that resolution clarity, it has been assumed that Apple would come with an 1136x640 resolution, when the smart phone market with its competitor Galaxy S3 sitting with the 1280 x 720 resolution would give Apple a tight fight.

With other pre-launched phones having remarkable quad core (four cores) processors having a speed of 1.4 GHz, it remains to be seen what Apple comes up with. Though we might guess that Apple too might come up with the quad processor, the evidences goes the other way. This is due to the fact that has Apple really thought of launching the iPhone with a quad processor, then its iPad which has been recently released would not have had the A5-x chip having just a quad core GPU and has a CPU with a dual core specification.

Moving to the connectivity aspect which is also a prime issue which needs to be considered while buying a phone. The all new iPhone 5 have just a 19 pin connector with no presence of any micro SD slot nor any kind of micro SIM. On the contrary you get to find its toughest competitor, Samsung having all the slots of the micro USB, the micro SD as well as for the micro SIM. Hence Apple needs to think about this as this might be a great deciding factor especially for the young and teenagers as they look for phones with better connectivity features and applications, having more versatility and flexibility. One of the biggest defeat which this iPhone 5 would face is the fact that it might not be compatible with the 30 pin connector which is used commonly for all the iPods, iPads as well as the other previous models of iPhones, and instead would be using the 19 pin model. This 19 pin model is said to be something which would be like the micro USB though not exactly as it is. Due to this 19 pin and absence of 30 pin factor, the new iPhone would be incompatible with all the other iPhone docking-accessories which is not at all a good news for the Apple fans or fanatics.

Another one drawback which Apple needs to work upon is the aspect that it still relies a lot on the sync software for transferring of files and the same cannot be done directly. With phones like Samsung etc. bringing the drag and drop function for transferring of files, it’s high time that Apple moves ahead.

The other factor which we found is that the new iPhone 5 is said to come with a 1430 mAh battery, this iPhone or the so called next generation technology in cellular is not probably the right move as you find so many other phones in the market providing a better back up like Samsung which has a battery of 2100 mAh, HTC One X with a battery of 1800 mAh, Sony Xperia S using a battery of 1750 mAh, etc. the paltry 1430 mAh is not going to serve the purpose. Though it has been assumed that the new iPhone 5 might be able to perform better than its iPhones 4S predecessor. Hence it is for sure that Apple Inc. needs to come up with something really miraculous with respect to the power management of this iPhone 5 like a larger battery that the iPhone 4S, to meet the high expectations which the public is having about this rumored next generation cellular- technology.

Furthermore though iPhone 5 is assumed to come up with the NFC or the fear field connectivity technology, this might not be a trump card as there are other devices as well in the market which have this technology present in them like Samsung, Motorola, LG, Nokia, BlackBerry, etc. Hence the onus now lies on you to decide what to choose.
