10 Things I hate About PlayStation 4

Sony has recently caused a great shake in the world of gamers as they announced their upcoming PlayStation 4. Gamers just could not stop talking about this because we have been waiting for a new generation of PlayStation for so long! Talk about six long years of waiting. And now, the gaming console is finally announced. Unfortunately, many gamers are already feeling disappointed about it because of so many things that they feel will come below their expectations. So, with that said, let us take a look of the 10 things that I hate about PlayStation 4.

 

The first reason is because Sony does not seem to be embracing the idea of how important it is to be able to socialize throughout our gaming experience. Back in the days when we used PlayStation as our main gaming consoles, it was true that we do not need to socialize with other people outside of our houses and play only with our brothers, sisters, friends or neighbors at home. But now, things have definitely changed big time. It is crucial for gamers to be able to socialize and chat with other people while they play. It will no longer be a fun experience if gamers can only play on their on or limit their playmates with people inside their house only.

Secondly is concerning their compatibility with Smartphones and other possible gadgets which can be used for gaming. Sony seems to not want to go towards this market and yet when they allow crossover play to happen between the gadgets people use for side gaming and the gadgets or consoles used for actual and real gaming experience, so many of us who are probably not as fanatic with games will consider purchasing a PlayStation 4.

The third reason is because they have boring controllers. We are, without a doubt, sick and tired already of having to use the same kind of controllers since a decade ago. Sure, the controller works fine and it even probably works fabulously for some of us. But, wouldn’t it be great to have a new, much more sleekly designed controller which has a full touch screen feature? This will surely enhance our gaming experience.

The fourth reason is because we still do not know about backward capability. Yes, this is one of the most important features that probably all previous Sony game consoles can offer to us gamers. It allows us to drive back and play the games we used to play in the olden days. However, with PlayStation 4, this feature is still under a question mark. Does that sound good? I certainly do not think so.

Fifth reason is because PlayStation is getting old. There seems to be something wrong with the ay Sony promoted this gaming console because it sounds like a gadget coming from years ago. It does not sound as current as other consoles, like Xbox or Nintendo Wii. But to most gamers, this probably do not really matter.

The sixth reason is because PlayStation games give the same gaming experience from one generation to the next. If we look at competitors like Wii, we will see that actually they take our gaming experience to the next level. Our movements are actually used to play the game and not just merely using controllers.

The seventh reason is the capability of the console to play online games. It is not just about how the games can be purchased or downloaded online, but it is about how we can play with our friend online, real time and live, right there on the spot. I figured that many people will want to see this feature and many gamers must be expecting Sony to have this out already on its latest game console. But from the announcement, what we see is merely its capability to sync with social media sites. Syncing only is not enough. We want to be able to play with people, not just tell them about the game we are playing.

The eight reasons is because of the fact that the Blu-ray drive is not fast enough. We will not be able to experience the complete Blu-ray gaming experience if the Blu-ray drive is not fast enough. Certainly we expect Sony to go all out on this, since providing the best graphic experience for gamers must be one of the highest priorities in designing game consoles. But so far with PlayStation 4, there are still many improvements that can be made on this.

The ninth reason is because of its pricing. Yes, this is a huge question mark that has yet to be answered by Sony, because looking at all the features they are promising us to provide, we cannot expect the game console to come at an affordable price. We will just have to see whether the price of PlayStation 4 can compete with the pricing of other game consoles. We can only hope that the price will be worth its features.

Last but not least, is that we still do not know the official release date of the PlayStation 4. This makes it such a kill joy for all of us who have been waiting anxiously for the announcement and now that it has been made, we still do not know when we can experience gaming using this game console.
