What To Expect From Samsung Galaxy S4, Why Upgrade From Samsung Galaxy S3?

Samsung is really picking up these days! It is no longer just a brand confined to the Asian market; it is now making waves across the globe. Of course, picking up on the popularity is the many different models of Samsung Galaxy phones. What is reminiscent now of the scenario of most non-Samsung users who are considering getting the newly released S3 is the anticipation of the other newer model to arrive, which happens to be the S4.

Sure, the S4 may not have that much color options. Sure, the S4 is still rumored to be released anytime from March to June 2013, March 14 in New York City. Sure, even in just predicted appearance it looks quite irresistible. But apart from these aesthetic appeal, and also limitations, is it worth it to upgrade from a Samsung Galaxy S3?
Now let us see. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is already a very impressive unit. Not to mention, it is limitless in its capacity. Based on the numerous reviews from those who already have the S3 and are indeed very lucky, with its quad core processor, big screen and highly innovative features, it seems that the S3 itself is already a very powerful phone. People these days are using their Smartphones for just about anything, and shouldn’t a very advanced mobile unit such as the S3 be able to satisfy even the geekiest user?

The S3 already has a very decent battery life, and it has so many features available already. But it is simply too big, and the plastic casing makes it look quite cheap, and there is no denying that there are some actions that seem to be gimmicks rather than necessities. Admittedly, the S3 could do well without it. The S3 has already been declared Phone of the Year over tight competitors iPhone 4S, HTC One X and Nokia Lumia 900 at the T3 Gadget Awards.

The S3 is already a runaway winner in its own right. It has shown that it can handle so many tasks all at once, making you wonder if that is just a very powerful phone or if it is a phablet- or more aptly put, a cross between a phone and a tablet.

The difference though between the S3 and S4 is the size. S3 users are saying it over and over again that the screen itself is quite big. It looks slim from side to side however. But the screen is just too big to fit in any standard sized pocket. Also, as of now the S4 and its appearance are mostly rumors because nobody has yet seen what it really looks like. But the S3 has won over with its smooth glossy finish, sticking to the idea that a matte finish would not be as impressive. It is also non-creaky when you hold it.

Even when some phones can be a slight upgrade of its previous model, the S3 is far away from the S2, making the wait quite worthwhile as well. The S3 is still thinner than other competing phones in the market from Motorola, HTC and Nokia, even its rival the iPhone 4S.

The screen though makes for already a viewable experience, and it makes you wonder what else the innovators back at the Samsung Headquarters want to be doing with the new S4 to make it live up to its expectations. In the meantime, we can still keep admiring the S3.

Even before its anticipated release date, the S4 ranks number one, even when no one really owns a unit yet. Samsung fans find themselves in the position when Apple’s S4 was about to be released, boasting of its newest addition which is Siri. Now, the faster i5 seems to be the star of Apple’s show. Obviously, Samsung Galaxy is fighting Apple back to its newer models but is it enough to tumble it down?

The S3 is still selling so well, and the question still remains. For S3 users, is it really practical to upgrade to the S4? Looking at the differences, the S4 has a sharper screen, faster response, an 8 core processor, added apps and features such as the S Health app, and of course NFC which is the contactless payment app for various needs such as shopping and emergencies. Even the S4 can be used as a wallet app for settling bills, plane tickets, even reloading prepaid cards. With this addition, Samsung is really making waves combining your wallet and your phone in one very easy to use portal. You can also expect longer battery life, obviously which will surpass other phones out there. And the camera is expected to be 10MP or even packing 13MP. There are hints that Samsung is funding its sensor size, so that gives a fair amount of making the S4 quite a competitive unit in itself. Move over a panorama feature from the iPhone 5. The S4 has a Samsung Orb allows users to take 360 degree photos with its camera.

But for those who are satisfied with the S3 as of now, it is perfectly alright not to jump into the S4 bandwagon unless you have suffered really serious damage with your S3 ouch! Sure, the S4 has a very big chance of being the best phone to come. But with the good, there will always be the best one. It is a never ending cycle and ask yourself if you really need it and not just want it.
