Who doesn’t want to watch a movie? And if it comes with larger than life experience with realistic actions or effects that can really take us to newer world it is always better, as most of us often feel with the characters that are in the movie. We feel pain when they are hit, or try to avert if something bad happens as much as the feel happiness bubbling through us if the main character is happy. But the most amazing movie would be it if it is based on the beginning of the movie itself. It has started on an ordinary note to get to an amusing extravaganza as it got old.
Let us take a peep in the early days of movie making. Starting in the 1880s when the movie camera was first used, it has created uproar in the public. Such was the technology at that time that it marked the beginning of a new era. Movies were generally silent till the late 1920s when sound was introduced into movies and marked yet another breakthrough. The movies underwent constant development through different decades and use of high end imaging techniques and digital studios, but another major breakthrough was achieved with the release of Avatar in 2009 which was a full scale 3D movie. Though it may seem unbelievable to many but 3D movie first came into being as early as 1950s but since the technology and hardware support that was required were quite expensive and that ruled out the possibility of using them on a commercial scale. But in 2009 all was changed.
This had been a great year for movie lovers all over the world with many blockbusters released which created history in terms of money and audience. And yes, there were more numbers of 3D movies as well. When Avatar was first released I remember the amount of attention it had grabbed with mesmerizing techniques and stunning colors. But the fun lied more in feeling that they are all around us and we are a character in the movie even if it means being maybe a passive one. As the great author J.K.Rowling has mentioned in the Harry potter series mentioned about the pensieve where one can enter another person’s memory yet cannot be the part of memory itself, watching Avatar and movies with 3D view seems similar to me. We flinch at some scene when something seems to some and hit us or feel the breeze at the back of our ears when someone flies. And they are supported by better quality sound effects that get our movie experience richer by many degrees. But how long will the effect last with passing times? Let us find out what are the prospects are in the coming year.
We are blessed with quite a few innovations or newer discoveries that have changed the lifestyle of masses all over the globe. We are well connected, and communicated. The image we see is lot brighter and sounds clearer. But what has been the master class among this is the emergence of 3D imaging techniques. Starting from television sets to mobile phones and other such handheld device can boast about the clarity and 3D imaging techniques with variety of extent. And with the growing data encryption facilities through high definition cameras and video editing software, getting a holographic or 3D projection of movies is now a child’s play. Also the video encoders in every device are more capable in showing off distinct difference between colors and shades and we are blessed with more advance technology than ever.
3D movies are getting a lot better market with more receptive audience. Making such a movie is not that costlier nowadays and can be captured both indoors and outdoors. And the money invested is getting minimum with the growth in metro cities and better movie theatres all over the world. No the theatres provide more interactive gears like 3D spectacles and come with real distinct sound quality that creates a true virtual world like illusion that makes the audience more involved in the movie itself. Also with better movie sequence the whole experience gets better than what had been seen before. With bigger budget, unprecedented audience turnover, better theatres and multiplexes and the technology used behind the movie making that has gone quite cheaper and advanced than the early days 3D movies is expected to hit a new high with more movies to look out for.
