With the modern approach to find information we are always depended on the search engines. There are search engines for attached to many leading websites such as yahoo, rediff or some other smaller such engines it was always Google that took the center stage. Until recently it has been some competition from a newer brand of search engine that is trying to bring the search engines’ giant down. That is Bing from the software giant Microsoft. There is a cold war going on between them so as to who is better information seeker and who will take the crown of being the top notch in every aspect. It is an old battle similar to the Samsung vs. Apple feud and it is really best of us to know what each of them is capable of before getting biased and choose one over the other. It is really in our judgment as we are the user and it is for us to decide the contest winner between the two, as both of the engines use their own specific tools and approach to search for the data relevant to the queries. Though most of the time it is really indistinguishable from each other as both of the engines provides data, news or images in easy to read formats and relevant websites but we can be never sure of which one is better.
Google has grown out of being of just a search engine and has spread out its area to many levels with much more specialized and user specific searches and applications. But does it really help when a user types in the keyword and hopes to get his query answered in a fraction of a second? Google is uncannily fast and produces tips and summaries in a jiffy. On the other hand, Bing tries to search for the relevant help even from the social networking sites and even enabling our friend to suggest an answer to a query so that it is more personalized. But the main contest is to find the answers to the user specific queries and data according to the search query. So take a look deep down to some of the features where Google scored while some battles have been won by Bing.
In general during some random query Google showed more specific result than Bing, which provides information with the most relevant answer at the top. Bing on the other hand handles the syntax better when the search is website specific. Google also provides better results when the search is product specific or any informational query is made. Bing, though has a better feature at auto correcting though can be irritating at times as it takes into account about all the relevant pages and tries to automatically refer to page that is far away from the actual query. But still Bing is gaining in popularity on a slight margin due to its personalized and customized search results to the users.
The feud between Google and Bing is still raging on. But we as a user should be more specific and follow a few search engine hygiene to find answers to what we are searching for. We should be more specific when we are typing the keywords, and provide proper syntax. To avoid the spam pages and spoilers we should always look forward to report the page to the search engines as both of them deals with them quite seriously. Also if searching for a query does not show a proper result in one engine we should always try to find in the other engine as there are sometimes other refining tools for searching available exclusively to the said search engines. Though Google and Bing can be both biased at the search results we should never come under the influence of biasing between them and should look into both of them to get the related answers. Also both of have their own importance and though Bing is lower in market share or popularity index we should always remember that Google is always present among us for a quite long time and thus creates a name for itself and it could take some time for Bing to create a splendor for itself.
